Night cleanse

👩🏻‍⚕️ cleanse twice at night. It’s the second cleanse that cleans the skin. 😌 This simple step can make a world of difference.

🎀 If you battle acne choose an active cleanser with Salicylic and glycolic. If you are over 60 years or have very dry skin choose a nice milky cleanser. For the rest of you choose an active cleanser with glycolic. It will provide a little extra exfoliation and help keep the skin bright and blemish free.

Skin Cycle

👩🏻‍⚕️ Skin 101: Glycolic has the smallest molecular size of any activity ingredient on the market. This means that it can travel further down to Stimulate a response. Glycolic tricks the brain into thinking there is an overall wound. The brain then sends signals to the collagen and then collagen comes up and starts repairing everything.

How is this relevant to skincare? A normal skin clycle is every 26-30 days; however, as we age this process slows down. Add one more day to the skin clycle for every year past 30. Example: a 40 year old woman or man has 10 more days added on to their normal skin clycle. It will now take 40 days for the skin to regenerate instead of 30.

Here’s the good news, doing a glycolic treatment every month will Stimulate your collagen production on a 30 day basis once again. Glycolic works for a full 30 days. That’s why it is important to do them once a month.

👩🏻‍⚕️ Skin 101: Learn active ingredients. Some of my favorites: glycolic, retinol, salicylic & vitamin C & A.

Now read labels, look to see where the active ingredient falls within the other ingredients. The closer to the top means there is more of that active ingredient.

🧐 This tip comes in handy when there’s a million products to choose from. The other day I helped this lady choose a mask. I found one good mask out of 20 or more. One didn’t even have the ingredient listed that was advertised.
